Trauma-Informed
Cách tiếp cận của chúng tôi
The Sierra Healing House facilitates a coordinated response by a multidisciplinary team (MDT) that will collaborate from the point of report of child abuse and throughout a child and family’s involvement with the Sierra Healing House. Comprising the MDT are medical and mental health providers, victim advocates, child safety partners, and Healing House Staff. Our team allows for us to apply best practices, evidence-based simulations, and leadership development training for current and future team leaders from our Center and regional partners. The Sierra Healing House knows that trauma-informed and family-centered care are important tools for service providers to use with clients who have experienced trauma. We apply trauma-informed practices and apply the 12 Core Competencies for Understanding Traumatic Stress Responses in our Children and Families. Our trauma-informed approach is an adaptive strengths-based service delivery practice grounded in understanding and responding to the impact of trauma that emphasizes physical, psychological, and emotional safety for both providers and survivors to rebuild a sense of control and empowerment.
