Organizational Structure
We facilitate a coordinated response by a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) that will collaborate from the point of report of child abuse and throughout a child and family’s involvement with our Child Advocacy Center.
With a Multidisciplinary Team
Multidisciplinary Team members share information, coordinate contact with the victim, and work together to create an action plan for the child and family. Comprising the MDT are professionals from law enforcement, child protective services, the District Attorney’s office, medical and mental health providers, victim advocates, forensic interviewers, and Child Advocacy Center Staff. By employing an MDT, we hope to reduce trauma, improve services, improve communication and collaboration, and improve outcomes for victims and their families.
Effective, efficient, and compassionate services all in one centralized location
Services provided follow the National Children’s Alliance standards for accreditation
The multidisciplinary team works closely to ensure a trauma-informed and carefully monitored experience
Provided through national accreditation standards
Our forensic interviewers facilitate this important information-gathering step with care
Our victim advocates provide services and resources to ensure a consistent and coordinated comprehensive network of support for each child and family
Our trained medical personnel perform medical examinations, collect forensic evidence, prepare evidentiary reports, and testify when needed
Mental health services are provided to children and their families by staff with specialized training in trauma-informed care
We coordinate a formal case review process with multidisciplinary team members, which focuses on planning and monitoring current cases
After working through the systems in place at our child advocacy center, children and their families will have access to continuing care and support
